NOW    "STITCH AND GLUE" WAVEPIERCERS

I was not all that sure that stitch and glue techniques would work on a complex hull like the Wave Piercers.  It takes five panels per side, but the panels don't have to twist or bend a lot and the results are very good.  The tunnel ends up a box anyway!   The following pictures show the steps in stitching together a wavepiercer hull.

NEW HILDA 16

The Hilda series of lobster boats (20 and 26) have now been joined with a 16' version. The 16' model is constructed with plywood panels, except for the nose, which uses wood strips.  This combination results in rapid construction time (inherent with stitch and glue construction), while preserving the classic rounded nose and stem feature.
